Shoreview, Minnesota
Wingfor Mayor
Independent · Business‑Minded · Shoreview First
Longtime Shoreview resident — formerly on the EDC, now serving on the EDA. My background is in business transformation and technology strategy. I believe in citizen leadership, not career politics.
Affordability
Control city costs and the property‑tax burden on residents.
Business Growth
Retain, attract and support the businesses Shoreview relies on.
Housing
More ownership options for every stage of life.
Public Safety
Strong police, fire and EMS partnerships, plus cybersecurity for city systems.
About Me
Serving Shoreview from the inside
My approach is straightforward: I’ll control city operating costs and the property‑tax burden, strengthen the commercial tax base by retaining and attracting the right kind of growth, and expand housing choices — including more ownership options for residents who want to downsize while staying in the community they helped build.
This isn’t my first campaign, and I’m bringing that experience to City Hall with a clear, focused platform. I’m prepared to ask difficult questions, listen to residents and businesses, and work collaboratively to move Shoreview forward.

My Platform
Four commitments I’m making to Shoreview
Affordability & City Budget
Keep the city budget disciplined and property taxes predictable, while backing the school district and the parks and services residents use every day.
Business‑Friendly Growth
Cut red tape and court the restaurants and retail residents keep asking for, with development that fits Shoreview’s character.
Housing Choices for Downsizing
Redevelop for ownership options — condos, co‑ops, and townhomes — so longtime residents can downsize without leaving the city they helped build.
Public Safety & Cybersecurity
Strong partnerships with police, fire and emergency services, plus preparing for emerging threats like cybercrime and AI‑enabled fraud against residents and city systems.
In My Own Words
Where I stand on how City Hall should work
How will you ensure transparency, accountability and ethical conduct in city government?
Transparency starts with being accessible, listening and clearly explaining how and why decisions are made. I’ll continue the tradition of approachable local leadership while making resident and business input part of every decision, asking difficult questions, and expecting accountability for how taxpayer dollars are spent.
How will you engage residents and make sure their voices are heard?
I’ll be accessible by phone, online and in person, and will actively seek input from residents and businesses — not just after a major decision is already on the table. Good decisions start with listening, asking questions, and making sure people understand both the choices before the city and the tradeoffs involved.
